Tilting Disc Check Valves

 The disc has a pivot axis closer to the flow-bore centre-line compared with Swing Check Valves.

Axial Flow Check Valves

 Flow forces the disc open against spring force; when the flow is reversed, the spring quickly close the valve by forcing the disc against a seat
